Ok, normally I wouldn't do this, but insomnia is one of the maintainers of LJ so I'm inclined to believe this isn't a scam. This post contains a (rare) plea to help out a friend who really sounds like she needs it now.

I feel for her---I'm in a better situation, but still on the rough end of poverty.

Mark's threat to the anonymous poster is rather unsettling, however. I'm getting more than a bit tired of reading such "counterpoints" from LJ devs.

Yeah, the threat was an inappropriate move in an otherwise appropriate response. I have no problem with sharing the IP address etc, but it should have stopped there.
