Heh. Next year I want to follow this person around for Simchat Torah. Hakafot that go for hours instead of 15 minutes? Singing and dancing and general fun? Wow.

Too bad about the distance, though.

I don't think ours lasted that long, but they were DEFINITELY more than 15 minutes. At least an hour and a half Saturday night, I think. Services started at 7:30 and we got home around 10 or 10:30.

Simchas Torah wouldn't be the same without all the singing and dancing and general jubilance (is that a word?) that I associate with it. I can't imagine just 15 minutes of hakafot.

Ours really were a lot of fun.... lots and lots and lots of dancing.

I also love the singing and dancing. Here the Hakafot continue for several hours usually.

The additional Hakafot after Simchat Torah went on until 3am in the yeshivah across the street from where I live...They even had a live band!:-)

Sure, just let me know ahead of time. Maybe I can even find someone who can provide crash space (I've only got a studio) :-)
