Peter is trying to learn new techniques (and some new tools), and might be receptive to a request to do one of your characters. He's been doing a lot of drawing lately. Check out his journal for more info.
By the way, I tried to do a sketch of my character when the campaign started, but I'm not the right kind of artist. I did a pencil sketch, which did not scan well, and I tried to use software (Paint Shop Pro, IIRC) to add color, which really didn't work well. I kept meaning to try again for a fully-paper implementation (that I would then scan), but I never got around to it.
There's currently no worries. The character I was bugging him about is in a campaign that just ended. The character I'm currently running, I stuck Ralph's face on. :)
I'm personally the kind of artist most comfortable with an old medium: cave walls. Anything more complicated than that and it just doesn't look right.
It's the picture of you from Balticon a few years ago. "Hi, I'm Ralph, and I'll be your Secret Master today..." You're wearing a black poofy shirt.
We're doing Musketeers and Magic, and my art skills stink. I looked at your picture and asked permission, and it didn't say no. :)
FYI, the character is a former member of the Royal Artillery. He's a disowned son of a baron, independantly wealthy, obsessed with developing cartridged weaponry, often smells of gunpowder, and thinks he's hot stuff with the women. So far he's still alive (unusual for this campaign) and since the party is headed towards a party (picture Mardi Gras, but in Germany) his looks, charms, grace, and wealth may keep him out of his usual troubles (almost blowing himself and others up) and in some of the more pleasant type of trouble... :) :) ;)
I was initially a bit surprised by the outfit too, but it works. It's always interesting to see how other people view a character (or in this case, a vague character description). I guess I just never thought about exposed midriff because it's so foreign to me. :-)

I've been trying to get my friend Jeff (a graphic artist) to draw pix of my characters for years. Must...control...fist of death...

I hadn't thought of Larissa wearing that sort of outfit, but it does fit. And it looks good, in an exotic way.
