We originally met through the SCA dance practices, circa 1986. I've been one of your deputy chroniclers, had a temp job with the QA team for one of your previous jobs, we've sung and/or played instruments together more times than I can count, and we've been in the same Pennsic encampment since well before the Polyhymnia camp/subcamp ever came together (has it been every Pennsic I've been to? I think there might have been one or two early on...).

I'm an adopted Pittsburgher, having lived here since I started at CMU in 1985 (prior to that my family moved several times, so "putting down roots" has been a comparatively recent development.) I'm a software developer. I like science fiction, armchair sociology, and long walks on the beach. Just north of Lisbon, perhaps.

"Christof the Pathfinder" (my SCA persona) is a Bavarian student in a university town somewhere in the Italian north ("Cour d'Or" is an Italian hill town, right? :-)) I've occupied various petty bureacracies at the Baronial and Kingdom levels. I had the good fortune to go to Rowany Festival in Lochac a year ago for their first Crown Tourney.
