My other journal was just friended by someone with no known connections to anyone I know and who writes primarily in Cyrillic. This really is the world-wide web, but sometimes the reminders are still startling. :-)
Thanks for the reminder. I remember seeing that once, but at the time it didn't have the "skip the direct link" option, so it was only helpful for "what-if" scenarios and not "this person found me; how?".
It turns out he's six hops away from my other journal (and from me). Either he was really bored (friends of friends of friends of...) or he found me randomly. Interesting.
(I say "he", but I have no way of knowing, actually.)
