I'm not doing the BBC book meme that's going around, because that particular list of "100 best books" just seems too wacky. It's got a mix of classics and modern fluff. I mean, much as I enjoyed Good Omens, for example, I would have difficulty counting it -- and several other Pratchett books -- as among the 100 best books out there. And I'd certainly have trouble believing that every single Harry Potter book belongs on that list.

I think it's supposed to be "favorite books," not "best books," as recommended by whichever people decided to answer their poll.

I'm shocked at some of the ones you haven't seen! I mean, The Godfather and The Godfather Part II are masterpieces... And I didn't think there were many people left who hadn't seen The Graduate.

On the other hand, there are plenty on there I've never seen. I wonder what criteria they used to determine the "best" movies. I wonder if it's based on box office ratings or how many times it's been searched on their site or some weird combination of factors. *shrug*
