This would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. It appears that Amazon has (rightfully) yanked his selling privileges, but he's got an awful lot of unsatisfied customers yet to deal with.

The selling page for this purchase said all sales come with a tracking number; could you send that to me? While the package isn't *technically* late yet, if it shipped on May 7 like it was supposed to then I'm concerned. Historically, I've received packages from Amazon and its associates very promptly. Thanks!

Monica

I appended the Amazon order confirmation, which includes all the details.

Hello,

The USPS web site says tracking service has not been purchased for this item number. Does "standard shipping" mean something other than USPS? (UPS says it's an invalid number, by the way, and I can't think of anyone else who does non-express package delivery.)

Thanks for your help.

Monica

Note: Either he didn't ship on time or he thinks it takes the post office two weeks to get tracking information onto its web site.

It's now the 21st and I don't have the package, which was due today according to Amazon. Did it ship on May 7 as the mail I received said it would? If so, would you please try to track it down from your end, as there is nothing I can do from here so long as the web site doesn't accept that tracking number? Thank you.

Monica

By the way, all previous messages are still being appended in the chain, so this message contains all the order info, the tracking number he gave me, etc.

Did you receive this message?

I still have no package and no valid tracking number. I would like your help in resolving this. The large quantity of negative feedback you have received since I placed my order on May 5 is making me nervous. Please reassure me.

Monica

[Attached previous message]

The large volume of negative feedback accumulated after I placed my order. Most comments were about missing items, some mentioned bogus tracking numbers, and some said he didn't answer their email. Well, at least I'm getting email.

Someone hasn't been paying attention to the ever-growing messages. I chose not to point this out, in the interests of civility and maybe actually getting my DVD set.

usps.gov says that's not a valid tracking number either.

(Neither of the tracking numbers you've given me shows as valid yet.)

The last mail I received from you was on May 26 (bad tracking number). I've sent you two messages since then. I've tried to be understanding, but you are not making it easy.

I placed my order on May 5. You have given me two invalid tracking numbers, and thus far I have not received my package. Unless you satisfy me before then, on June 5 I will (1) file an A-to-z claim with Amazon for a refund; (2) file reports of this transaction with the appropriate legal authorities and the Better Business Bureau; and (3) leave negative feedback at Amazon.

You can satisfy me in one of two ways: get the DVD set to me (new and unopened, as advertised) before then, or pay for an order of same direct from Amazon. (That is, you pay the current price of the DVD set plus expedited shipping, to make up for your failure to deliver, and Amazon fulfills the order.) If you satisfy my order before June 5 I will note that fact in feedback.

I'm obviously not your only dissatisfied customer, judging from feedback, but you still have a chance to rescue this transaction if you care to act promptly.

Monica

There is no way I would accept the promise of a money order from someone who apparently never mailed the DVD. Gotta be PayPal.

I paid you $57.49 ($55 for the DVD and $2.49 for shipping).

My cost to replace is now $74.99. (The other sellers with prices comparable to yours when I placed my order have since sold theirs.)

If you refund me the $57.49 I'll leave negative feedback for the transaction but report that you refunded my money. If you pay me my cost to replace I will leave neutral feedback saying that you covered my costs. (And, naturally, if you don't refund anything I'll both report that in feedback and file a claim with Amazon.)

Monica

I did not make a demand; I only presented options. It's up to him to decide how to handle this.

Oh, well. I tried...
By the way, this is the feedback I left for the transaction (80-character limit): "order 5/5: no DVD, 2 bogus track #s, no promised refund, erratic email responses". Most of the feedback he's gotten has been accusatory name-calling; I prefer to let the facts speak for themselves. At the moment he has over 400 comments, almost all negative, from the last month.

Lesson learned: use Marketplace for stuff I wouldn't mind buying, but stick to direct, reputable sources for stuff I actively want on some sort of schedule.
