Drat. A complication precludes me from having my party on November 8. I'm going to do it on November 15 unless I hear screams of "no! don't do that!" from my friends. (I'm assuming that there will be conflicting Halloween parties on November 1, the other date I considered.)

Ok, are you and Steve leading the same life but in different timezones? He too has had to move his B-day party to probably Nov 15th. Ha ha!

Well he does adore your Pennsic abode. He is still showing off the pics of it when he talk about Pennsic. I have a feeling that our next Pennsic encampment (2005?) will go up a couple notches in authenticity!

I love my Pennsic abode, and enjoy talking with people about it and showing it off. But just to put things into context, I live an hour away and have been to 22 Pennsics. Your circumstances are different. :-)

That said, I look forward to seeing what you do (and what you can shlep across the continent) when you next make it out here!

I discovered the SCA in college, and have lived in Pittsburgh since then so it's always been within reach.

Nice how a good hat, veil, or scarf can hide the gray hair, isn't it? :-)

I learned that one of my good SCA friends has been 19 years with the same employer (after finishing university). Funny that until she said that I could have sworn she was in her mid 30's.

I tend to err on the young side when I guess the age of folks. I dunno why I do that!
