Exciting game tonight. One of the players basically forced everyone into a fight that we were not ready for, and some of us objected vocally. We got thoroughly whumped. No one died, but the party is now split, an enemy who probably didn't know about us before is now motivated to hunt us down, and we didn't even do enough damage to make said enemy care. Oh joy.
At least I'm in the group with the druid (our healer), and I take some small satisfaction in knowing that the instigating character is probably in for some more whumping...
The detailed description will have to wait until after Shabbat, but since I know that some of our (my and the GM's) shared friends have been watching this develop in his journal, I thought I'd go ahead and post one player's brief perspective.

Date: 2003-12-12 12:12 pm (UTC)Vampiric fast healing makes it very hard to have Garrett less than perfectly healthy, unfortunately.
I'm not quite sure how Garrett knows to come to Cardior for the rest of you, though. Perhaps I overlooked some of the dialog--I could certainly imagine that I did so.
I'll meet you halfway, though--you did a lot better than I was expecting, and much worse than you wuld have liked. :-/

Yup. I had a small hope that perhaps damage from a holy weapon might not heal, or heal as quickly, but even if that were the case we didn't do that much. I hit him once, and it sounded like Charlos hit him once.
(And damn, Charlos did not escape with us.)

Well, he saw Charlos with us, and he knows where he last saw him. We obviously know about the connection between the dagger and the land. He may get the chance to interrogate Prolix and Turok.
And, I'm not confident that we didn't say "Cardior" when negotiating our escape with each other, though it's possible that Garrett didn't hear and the name wasn't significant enough to Melisande for her to remember later. Dunno.

That's fair. :-)
