Woohoo! They did it!

(Well, ok, took the first big step. But private commercial space flight may now be a reality in my lifetime.)

I was boggled the other day to stumble across the fact that a couple of people of my acquaintance actually think the idea of encouraging commercial space flight is a _bad_ idea. (because then it will be so much easier for terrorists to sneak bombs into space or something)

So.... if I follow the logic from that conversation correctly... it's bad for the government to be involved in 'social work'.... but only the government should be involved in space....

(but then, I'm not entirely certain I 'followed' the 'logic')
