To steal a phrase from [livejournal.com profile] mamadeb, I am parallel-processing woman tonight.

Tonight I made:
- honey chicken for tomorrow night
- barbeque chicken for Shabbat
- gefilte fish
- "pineapple" kugel (except I didn't have pineapple so I used mandarins instead), recipe via [livejournal.com profile] cahwyguy
- three honey cakes
- two dozen hard-boiled eggs (don't need 'em until Yom Kippur break-fast, but as long as I was cooking anyway...)
- tonight's dinner (baked fish and roasted corn)

Not bad for two hours' work. (Well, plus baking time at the end, but I didn't have to participate.)

I made stewed veggies Sunday, and I'll make salads at the last minute. I might roast some veggies for Shabbat; today's visit to the farmer's market resulted in some good options there. And I have fruit, of course, including the obligatory apples and honey.

Yup, I think I'm just about ready culinarily.

Let us know how the recipe comes out. We've never tried it with mandarins before.

Any chance you'll share the honey chicken recipe? After the holy days, if not now? :)

My goodness you're productive. I'm lucky if I can throw together one night's dinner in two hours if I'm cooking from scratch.

Wow, you're on top of things, food wise!

I made a sweet kugel tonight, and a bean salad during my lunch break (helps to work from home before a holiday).

The "Sweet" Kugel has pineapple, apples, and apricots, but is non-dairy. Tomorrow I need to make Tzimmis, buy a bunch more challahs, get some grape juice and other drinks, and get stuff for a salad. Oh, and make a kugel for Shabbat. Oh, and buy and make chicken.

And decide what, if anything, to do with the zucchini that was left over from last Friday's farmers market. It's still good...

And clean my place at some point.

But first I need to go to sleep, or I'll be a zombie tomorrow...
