Commentary

There seem to be two main threads here, Judaism and SCA, with some minor inputs elsewhere. Surprisingly, music does not make an appearance.

Redundant: bmdl, shabbos.

Ones they got right and I should probably add: medieval cookery, orthodox judaism (I'm interested even if that's not how I identify).

Yeah I'm interested, but I'm not sure about elevating to a listed interest: g-d, tanach, medieval reenactment, shul.

Not particularly interested: garb, zohar, judaica, yiddishkeit, zionism, jerusalem.

Definitely not interested: yiddish, atenveldt, heraldry.

Not a well-formed interest: jew.

Huh? #10.

AI is still no match for an informed human: shadyside.

#10 is a chunk of UTF-8-encoded Hebrew which is being mishandled (emacs likes to feed me that stuff when I edit files including Hebrew strings).

Best way I've found is to save the offending sequence to a file of its own, open it in a browser, then set the encoding to UTF-8. Which in this case reveals that it's actually worse than I originally said: it was originally UTF-8, but LiveJournal misread it as ISO8859/1 and re-promoted it to UTF-8, so now it's pretty well scrambled. I'm not quite sure how to recover, as I don't seem to be able to cut-and-paste it properly from the browser either. (When I do, I get:

?שרא

where the beginning and end are corrupted because the characters making them up aren't being copied right.)

Okay, the beginning and end are lost; they got converted into non-ISO8859/1 characters, which is why they won't convert back properly. You'll have to find whoever has that interest and ask them what it was originally.

And it looks like LJ isn't handling it right even in its current form; I get "interest not found". Bleh.

Got it; I started poking around your friends list. Pretty obvious once it's complete: ישראל
