Overheard: "It's not exactly spaghetti code. More like sticky rice -- weirdly clumpy but not really cohesive."

This article from [livejournal.com profile] aspaqlaria seems just to be about the grammar of biblical Hebrew (which by itself is enough to get my attention), but it actually leads to a good lesson about mussar (right behavior). Nicely done.

Sony is settling a class-action lawsuit over fake movie reviews (link from [livejournal.com profile] dmnsqrl). People who saw the movies based on ads quoting non-existant reviews can't get their two hours back, but they can get $5. While this is clearly a fraud case, I do hope that this doesn't lead to suits from people who weren't defrauded and just didn't like the movies they saw.

Hamster-powered night light (link from [livejournal.com profile] dyanearden). I'd occasionally wondered about that too.
