eye check-up

I saw my opthamologist again this morning. She noted a small problem and gave me some new eye drops (along with instructions to return in a week).

She said the drops are a mild steroid. Steroids are supposed to make you strong, right? But they're drops, not pills, so I don't think I get the usual benefits. I don't imagine that my eyeballs are going to be doing push-ups or lifting impressive weights or the like, so what effect do I get? I'm kind of hoping for X-ray vision, myself. :-)

Andro-sterones make you small, hairless, infertile, give cardiac symptoms...

Steroids are a more generic category. :-)

(The steriods I sometimes take for their anti-inflammatory value, also make me hungry, crankly, sleepless and gain weight...)

Thanks for the information. I don't object to my eyeballs being hairless, and I'm fine with infertility for myself, but as for the rest... :-) Anyway, I assume that one week on steroid eyedrops won't do the kinds of damage you have to deal with.

I tend to take them for 10-12 days. But the dosage is far different.
