We're home from Toronto. Seeing the in-laws was nice, the seders were seders, the drive was wet both ways but ok, and the border-crossing was uneventful as it should be. A real update will be forthcoming, perhaps tomorrow night.

Erik spent the last few days with a friend. This was an experiment, and it worked remarkably well. Mary said he was no trouble at all; he got along well with her cats and dog, and she'll be happy to have him in the future. Yay! (He had a private room available, but expressed curiosity so she let them mingle.)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ralphmelton and [livejournal.com profile] lorimelton for stopping in to take care of the other two. I hope they didn't give you any trouble.

It was no problem. Baldur hates us currently, as despite our efforts to hang out and play with him, we are evil torturers who give him nasty medicine. He wouldn't even take treats off me on Monday night. Poor Baldur! He was otherwise ok, he just clearly doesn't like the medicine. Embla gave us both cautious visits but stopped short of allowing us to pet her. :-)

Welcome home!

Oh, he didn't damage us. Duke is about on par with him for medicine-giving, so we had no problems other than guilt for bugging your kitty. :-)

Ralph was much more effective than I was at catching him and doing the "between the knees" hold while I squirted the fish-flavored stuff in his mouth.

Actually, Louie may be worse than either because he is really fast/i>. Ella hasn't ever had medicine that I remember. Closest thing was when she was a kitten and needed warm compresses on her surgery site (they came fixed at 11 weeks) -- she actually appeared to like them, so she must've been sore.
