last night's 24
Apr. 24th, 2007 10:20 am
Last night's episode of 24 was interrupted locally at an
inconvenient time by a storm warning. (What happened to running those
as tickers across the bottom of the screen?) Can anyone fill me in on
one
spoiler?
What prevented Jack from setting off the bomb? (It appeared that Audrey had walked to a safe distance, right before the show was interrupted.)

Audrey was out the door, Jack tossed the microchip to the Chinese consul, all was going per Jack's plan, but by that time Doyle was outside and started screaming that the exchange had taken place, that the team needed to move in NOW. They crashed through the door, and Jack was unwilling to set off the bomb and kill CTU agents along with himself and the Chinese. The confusion allowed the Chinese to escape.

Thanks for the information. It seems odd that the Jack who killed his long-term fellow agent and friend to save Fayd earlier in the day, and who made a promise to President Palmer, would let a few random CTU agents get in the way of vengeance against the Chinese (and keeping secrets out of their hands, but I think vengeance wold be the bigger factor). I trust this will get examined in the remaining hours of the day.
