(Longer posts still failing.)
There are signs, for a few miles of highway, for "[My street] detour". Must be some other part of the street; I haven't seen problems. I haven't been curious enough to follow the signs, but I think there are much more direct routes than what they're doing. Hmm: "detour" sounds kind of similar to "deter", as in "you didn't really want to go there, did you?".
Seen on a truck: a sign for Loafer's bread. Cute.
Seen in Regent Square, a shop called "legume". ??? Pretentious food? Pants? Does it amount to a hill of beans?

Date: 2007-06-04 01:02 pm (UTC)LJ: It appears from reading the support board (there's better info there than what LJ posts publicly) that at least part of the problem is from blocking certain IP addresses. I just saw a message from someone who can post from her school but not her home. So what stops them from, at the very least, white-listing static IP addresses from paying customers? I understand that they're dealing with a heavy load of badness here, but they are not doing a good job of supporting their users (some of whom are paying custmers). I realize that now their biggest customers are advertisers, but still... (Remember the claim that paying customers got the better servers, as an intentive to buy accounts? Not seeing much of that either.)
