Not long after LJ introduced security filters, people started asking for the ability to see all entries posted to a particular filter. I'm really surprised they didn't see that coming at the time. I mean, how else can you rationally audit your own security settings and answer questions like "when did I actually use this?".

Well, they finally did it, at least for paid members. (I don't know when or if this will roll out to everyone else.) The magic URL is:

http://journalname.livejournal.com/security/level
(replace level with: public, friends, private, or group:groupname)

Well, they did the canonical overly-helpful error messages ("that group doesn't exist") and so you can brute-force group names, but other than that it's useful. Group names aren't usually significant but they *could* be...I could have the "notboyfriend" group or something...and it costs them less than nothing to just give out a blank 'no entries found in that group' error message for all potential group names.
