cellioBaldur: T4 3.1 (was 2.7 in October, 1.8 in March 2007), slightly elevated liver enzyme (ALT) of 110 (normal 100). Free T4 (that's different from a T4) normal. Calcium slightly high at 11.3 (10.8 is high normal). While my vet jokingly suggested that perhaps he's catching hyperthyroidism from the others, she confirmed that she doesn't think he has anything we need to treat. Also, no surprises from the stool sample.
Erik: T4 1.7 (translation: don't touch the hyperthyroid medicine; we finally got the dose right), ALT 1200 (higher than last time), WBC 22,000 (normal is 16,000), bilirubin slightly high. She suggests changing the antibiotic we've been using to treat the hepatitis; she will research and propose something. She also noted that it's been a year since he's had an ultrasound, but after consulting with the specialist, she doesn't think there's any urgency so long as he's eating, drinking, and behaving normally.
