short takes
Oct. 19th, 2008 07:36 pmWe visited with my parents (and sister) this afternoon. Ironically, my father is also contemplating digitization of his music collection.
Does anyone know where I can get some of those microfiber cloths that sometimes come with glasses and things with delicate screens? Or, failing that, a reliable way to wash them so that they (1) get clean and soft and (2) don't die in the wash?

Re: vendor swag
Date: 2008-10-20 09:12 pm (UTC)I do sometimes wash and air-dry them, but I'd also like to have something in my pocket for quickies. I probably wipe my glasses off a dozen times a day; my skin is oily and the lenses sit close to my face, so they're constantly getting a little gunked-up. It wouldn't bother the people who are also fine with leaving fingerprints on monitors (ugh!), but it bothers me. I used to just use my shirt too, but that can scratch them over time so I'd like to do better. I've been using microfiber cloths for a couple years now, but they don't last forever.
