last week's episode of Merlin
I wasn't expecting that episode to end where it did.
Spoiler ahead:
It seems obvious that the forces of good will prevail, presumably next week. The story over the last season and a bit has developed several characters with clear motivation and will to act against Uther. I think it's safe to say that the king will not be taken down by a nameless NPC.
(This is, in fact, a weakness of all such plotlines. We've seen a few cases of "random enemy you never heard of before this episode shows up", and you just know it's not going to work out in the enemy's favor. But even knowing that I enjoy the show. I enjoy the real arc stories much more, but the random-adventure ones are fine so long as they keep the story bits coming too.)
