housekeeping

This is why we can't make the bed in our house:

tip of Erik's tail emerging from covers He usually crawls under the covers at night and is often there in the morning. In the last few weeks he has started returning there immediately after his breakfast. (I don't understand how he breathes under there, but obviously he does.)

That's Erik, right?

When I was a kid, my best friend's mom had a rule that you had to make the bed unless there was a cat on it. Sometimes my friend would go *get* a cat just to avoid making her bed. Alas, my mother had no such rule. I envied my friend. :-)

Cats ruled in that house. Her mother was not soft-hearted about much, except the cats. Though she wasn't a crazy cat lady - I don't think they ever had more than four or five, at least of the *indoor* cats. This was out in the country, so who knows how many outdoor cats they had.

Mine does the same thing. He's never too warm, it seems!

Awwwww

Diana usually sits on top in our bed. But I like the tail shot.

Hahahahahahahaha!! I frequently sit on a cat for just that reason.

The only reason it doesn't happen in my house (says Ista) is that every night the Man evicts me from my nice warm spot at the foot of the bed, just past the Woman's feet and in front of the space heater. He makes me go out into the hall, and then he shuts the door and pulls it tight.

(Sniff.) So I have to sleep on the guest bed in the Girl's room, next to the radiator.
