LJ: comment interface kinda broken?

Is this happening to anybody else? Instead of the nice inline "post comment" interface when commenting on an entry page, I'm now getting a new page with a bunch of whitespace, assorted authentication options (just in case, while logged in to LJ, I want to post from my hypothetical Facebook account), and access to only the post/comment I'm replying to, not the whole page.

I filed a support request but wanted to see how widespread this is. Anybody else seeing this?

Oh, and the posting interface has some new and different bugs for me too: no userpic preview and no auto-complete on tags. I wonder what else is wrong. (I know they're having some issues with the RTF editor, which I do not use.)

I had something like that happen once, but don't recall the circumstances; I think I might have been blocking some cross-site linking or accidentally adblocking script or something.

I just tried in Safari, where I have made absolutely no customizations, and it happened there too. :-(

Forgive me, but have you cleared your cache and cookies? That looks like an incomplete load to me.

I tried it in a fresh browser (Safari) where there were no relevant cookies, cache, etc.

I'm in the exact same boat (http://i836.photobucket.com/albums/zz281/SkieTCG/wtf.gif) with that problem.

It's kind of a stupid upgrade if it is one and needs to be able to be turned off; otherwise it needs to be fixed.

From the read comment page, I get an inline comment box to pop out, no issues.

I tried the ?mode=reply page (since it looks like that's where you were), and also got no issues.

I also tried your style (my default is my style) and also got no issues.

I'm using Firefox, but not blocking any particular sites.

I'm not having this issue, but I also have a permanent account and set all other journals to be in a style I prefer. That might have something to do with why I'm not seeing it.

I have a permanent account too and force all reading pages to go to the LJ default. (I read journals in my style but entries in the LJ style. It seems to work better for me.)

Commenting now seems to be working correctly for me. Yay!

I'm not seeing the missing post content (Opera 9, OSX 10.4). It could be something intermittent due to their adding in the huge list of account types. Vkontakte? Whatever. Someone needs to learn about combo boxes.

The posting interface doesn't show userpic previews for me either, and it looks like some of the buttons near the bottom are gone -- I could swear there was a button next to the spell check one and another next to the post one. It does now let you crosspost to two completely different places. Heck, this comment wouldn't even fit in a twit!

Add'l: after an initial posting the style sheet seems dead. Edits to the post look okay though. They really need a QA team. Maybe they could hire some Russian contractors... ;-)

Commenting is now working for me, but the post-entry page still doesn't show userpics. And you're right; it does look like some stuff at the bottom changed too. Have you filed support requests for any of that?

Nope; I figure with a huge userbase they'll get swamped with duplicate tickets. Oh, and the button next to "spell check" was "preview", and it's back.

The userpics started showing up for me a few hours ago.

I haven't had a problem (yet) with comments, but yesterday I had a *lot* of trouble inserting images from my Scrapbook -- the window refused to load so that it was fully visible no matter what I tried. Hmmm.

Found your post by looking through the Support board to see who else was having the same problem. It looks like this was happening to some users with the Component style back in April (but I use Component, and I never saw it back then) but now it's happening to a whole bunch of people with different styles.

For what it's worth, I use Firefox 6.0, Ubuntu version, with AdBlockPro and NoScript turned on, and with LiveJournal whitelisted but not Facebook or Twitter.

I'm now having an odd problem when I try to reply to a post in a group. It wants me to log in again, even though I'm logged in, and even if I enter my info, it rejects my comment.
