I've called SOAP services but not written code for one yet. I think I'm glad. :-)

*sighs deeply* Yes, you are.

REST isn't great because much of it uses JSON, but XML is hideously processor-intensive to parse and the SOAP protocols are.. uhm.. I'm going to go hide in a corner now.
