The g'mara on today's daf discusses the application of eiruv boundaries to ships. Can you carry on a ship? Rab says yes (even if it is very large) because it has walls. Shmuel says no, because those walls weren't made for dwelling purposes but rather to keep water out. However, when asked, Shmuel conceded that the law is according to Rab. (90a-b)

Someone at minyan this morning pointed out that modern cruise ships probably are intended as dwellings, and wondered what Shmuel would say about that.

Don't forget yachts, canal boats, and houseboats....

Given the purpose of a cruise ship, perhaps any relevant eruv rules for travel and/or for inns might apply (says the ignorant goy).
