short takes
Sep. 22nd, 2001 09:32 pmLicense plate seen tonight: "23 psalm". I wonder what motivates that particular choice in a vanity plate. I'd probably choose a different one, maybe 15 or 145 (though the latter exceeds the character limit).
Dani bought me a Hebrew learning package for my birthday. Woo hoo. It claims to come with word-processing software, but it looks like it's basically fonts and a keyboard layout; I don't know if it will cope with the right-to-left nature of the language. I have a font that I can use with Word, but it's extremely slow going. I hope this is better.
We had a newcomer at services this morning (he just moved to Pittsburgh and is presumably shul-shopping). His name is Dani. He seemed to be delighted to meet someone who knows that that's not necessarily short for Daniel or pronounced Danny. :-) (I didn't ask him if he gets mistaken for a woman on the net; that has happened to my Dani a lot.)
Daily caffeine intake is down to a bit over a liter. Getting there...
