Yes, and not the first early one I've seen this year. Stack Overflow also announced a new authentication scheme (link is to a blog post with an embedded video; I enjoyed the video).
I don't know if they're going for greater exposure of a weekday versus a weekend (if that's even true; I don't have the data but they d), or if they figure it's April 1 somewhere, or something else.
