precision is important

My part of a brief conversation tonight:

"In 20 minutes, please rotate the cake [that's in the oven] 180 degrees."

(Pause to evaluate geekly and culinary tendencies.)

"Through the horizontal plane."

This morning's service with the new siddur went pretty smoothly. Everyone (except the half-deaf person who needs to adjust his hearing aid) followed pretty easily, and it felt intuitive.
