Did you just migrate here from LJ? Are you trying to find your friends?

Have you been here a while and would like to connect with our new immigrants?

Either way, please leave a comment here to announce your presence if you want to be found. If you changed your user name from LJ to DW, be sure to mention that. Let's make it as easy as possible to rebuild the SCA network over here.

And if you're already somewhat connected here on DW, please boost the signal!

(And if you know of somebody who's already doing this, please let me know and I'll update this post to point to that one.)

This is unique_name_123 and I just migrated over. I am not sure how much crossover we have in friends, but I miss LJ which now seems unused.

It *is* the best way to spot me online. (Confuses the snot out of folks in many technical communities, that I use my heraldry as my icon everywhere except LinkedIn.) But I figure the name is also helpful...

Hi! For those of you who might not know (unlike the person whose journal this is in, who's known for a while), I'm Evan da Collaureo in the SCA, and am/was known on LiveJournal as dr_zrfq ...

(I'm damont in a number of other places and have been for decades, but someone had taken that handle on LJ early on, and proceeded to not do anything with it. Blech. So I used another old handle, which was/is also my IM handle in various permutations. Some day I'll get back on AIM and GTalk/XMPP. I grabbed the damont handle on DW in its early days, and this will be my primary blog going forward.)

I've had a DW account for a while now. "herveus" on LJ and DW (and most everywhere else).

I've had parallel LJ and DW accounts under "hrj" for quite a while, started seriously cross-posting my blog links on DW as part of my alpennia.com website improvements, and then cut the LJ cord when the new TOS thing came up. In the SCA I'm Tangwystyl verch Morgant Glasvryn, although it's starting to feel weird to say "in the SCA" because I seem to have slid sideways out of activity in the last couple years. (At first it was a deliberate "I'm taking a year off from all extracurricular activities to get my second novel written" and since then it's been "I'm trying to figure out what I'd go back *for*.")
