There is, and I'm sure there's a good sermon or several to be found in which transgressions are and aren't on this list (and how those on this list relate to each other). I haven't given this much thought yet, nor gone searching, but there are lots of people who know way more torah than I do so I wouldn't be surprised to come across such a discussion.

(Also, as [personal profile] goljerp said, the death penalty was way more theoretical than actual; there were a lot of protections in place, to err on the side of leniency. Better to let a guilty person go unpunished on Earth (after all, God is still the ultimate Judge) than to execute an innocent person.)
