I can imagine people who know Titan very well managing to make the game quick; for example, I think that we did every battle, even though when I was reading up on it on BoardGameGeek there's the option to skip a battle if the results would be obvious. We also didn't know the board, so I remember a lot of time trying to decide which way we wanted to move. I only played the once, and I'm pretty sure we *were* playing it wrong -- someone came by after the game had gone on for over 12 hours and helpfully let us know. Since we split the game up over several sessions, it was even more painful to find this out.
