My shul on the UWS hosted a prayer service tonight. There was literally a line stretching around the perimiter of a city block of people waiting to get in when I got to the front of the line; the shul inside was pretty full by that point. Joy was one of the people outside; our Rabbi said there were at least a thousand people who couldn't get in. You are not alone. (While I say "my shul", we were the location; Orthodox, Reform, Reconstructionist, and non-affiliated shuls were represented, as well as the UJA, a couple of muslim organizations, and local priests and ministers.
