I am so sorry this happened to you - especially right before the holidays. I don't know what else to say, other than I wish I had Joel Spolsky's phone number, so I could call him up and yell at him. Well, that probably wouldn't help, so I guess it's good I don't. (And I suppose part of the problem is that Joel's no longer actively involved with SO...)
