Thing is, the war cries to make people suffer less is not the real goal. The real goal (as in "difference between current reality and wanted reality") is make people obey to greater good.
The perceived pronouns problem did not have to be addressed by policy and behaviour limitations. If it WAS the problem. However the real problem is people misbehaving....
