We are in the midst of a cluster of Jewish holidays. Yom Kippur (the day of atonement and a fast day) was yesterday. Sukkot ("booths", a festival of thanksgiving) starts on Monday. "Chag sameach" is an appropriate holiday greeting; thank you! Specifically for Yom Kippur you can also say "g'mar chatima tova", which means "may the final seal (of judgement) be for good" -- just mentioned for your future information, should the situation arise.
