Do not fear. I wanted to respond to your not going out on the anniversary of a horrible event, but living in fear v.s. living in hope is a choice. That was the last line in the movie "The Diary of Anne Frank". You go through a lot of motions. Do you really believe G-d is in control? That he will intervene like with Queen Esther? That he can do miracles? That he parted the red sea? You are part of the chosen of the only living G-d. I've read the psalms. Goliath never had a chance. (sorry if I've gotten to religious, or misfired as I'm a Christian, but you have been born for such a time as this as my title infers; I apologize for anything you find insulting and ask forgiveness, but also you should see beyond as you might be destined for some small, but eventually great thing).
That is part of the error here. The lavender community lives in fear and strikes out - but often not at anyone that truly hates them. They want to find a strongman, and I will say a guestapo, to punish those who disagree.
That is (sigh) the difference. One side can disagree, but respect the other side and have zero hate for them. The other side thinks words are violence, disagreement is hate, and seeks to deplatform, demonitize, and ostricize anyone that disagrees. That is where think you are.
Sarah was in a podcast from July where an intersectional insisted immediate action was required when someone felt hurt. But the US Constitution and the Torah call for due process.
I'm a Christian, and disagree with you on much, but have a triple measure of respect for you and I can't think of an english word going beyond respect. Your virtue shines like the sun, and we both seek justice.
I really wish more people would respectfully disagree with me. I'm probably wrong on much, but instead of understanding why I think something and pointing out the error, it is easier to call me some name.
