I wrote about this trip in this entry, but it was getting long so I decided to segregate the pictures. I didn't take a lot of pictures, so these aren't representative of the mix of the whole trip. They're just some pictures I thought were interesting.

These pictures are from the riverboat architectural tour. Most of the guides we encountered described the two towers in the second picture as the "corn-cob towers". I never got a good angle to get the whole building in that last one; there's a right flank that matches the left flank shown here.

And finally, one piece of art in our hotel room. This looks sort of like a box protruding from the wall; it's not flat. I was disappointed to find that there was not, in fact, any garlic within:
