Filkcast
ericcoleman hosts a weekly filk podcast, FilkCast. He wrote me recently to ask if it was ok to include On the Mark's music. Twist my arm, I said. :-)
Today's episode includes our recording of "Flowers for Algernon", written by Kathy Mar. It also includes one of my favorite Bill Sutton songs, "The Pilot's Eyes", and a bunch of other songs both classic and modern. I'm glad that this music is getting heard beyond filk circles at SF cons, and glad that I got to be a small part of it.

Wow, one of the fastest times to a comment I've seen. :-) I hope you get a chance to listen to the whole thing -- lots of good stuff there!

They were all self-published, so unfortunately, no label.
Thank you!
And I didn't know that was a Kathy song, the notes have been updated!
Re: Thank you!
Thank you for including us! I enjoyed listening to the mix you assembled -- a nice blend of fond memories and songs I'd never heard before.
If you have the physical media from those tapes/CDs, the credits should be on the liner notes. Feel free to ask me about anything you don't have attribution for and I can look it up if I don't remember.
Re: Thank you!
I try to play a good mix of classic and current Filk whenever possible, with the occasional excursion into Wizard Wrock and Nerdcore.

OMG yes, I have the link to FilkCast on my phone's home screen. And I was listening to "Flowers for Algernon" and singing it, because I want to learn it. And I've put the link and lyrics in their own purple document on the ColorNote app on my phone: purple because the app lets you choose any of 8 colors along with white for each note, and tag each color with its own label or title, and purple is the color I use for song lyrics and poems.
