I've been tinkering with LiveJournal styles. (I think I've come across a bug, but I'm not sure.)
One of the people on my friends list posted a very wide image, and the style I wa using was all too happy to just "widen" the page to that size, meaning that reading text on that page required gobs of side-to-side scrolling. What a pain. (This is in the style that I'm currently using for my main journal page.) So I switched the friends page to a different style ("generator", whatever that means), but I didn't like the placement of the friends' names and graphics, and some of the fonts were too small, and some of the default formatting was kind of ugly, and...
So I spent a chunk of tonight tinkering with this style. I'm not completely happy with it, but I'm at the point where I'm going to just leave it alone. Now if only the "userpic" variable worked, I'd be completely satisfied for now. (The default version of the style uses the variable and it doesn't work there either, so it's nothing that I did. I note that they don't advertise this variable, though they did use it.)
