I'm in a D&D game that Ralph is running, and my character (a sorceress) just got a familiar, an owl. So Ralph asked me "how big do you want your owl to be?". Um, err, I'm a city kid; I don't actually know much about owls. Not to worry; Ralph found the owl site for me. Check out the species list for more owl types than I thought existed...

You know, he was looking at it the other night, and played one of the owl calls. All three cats were in the bedroom with me -- I was reading, they were lying on the bed around me. When the owl call played, all three jumped up and went into "alert" mode -- it was too cute.

Just as well I didn't play any of the sounds -- Embla was asleep on the desk next to a speaker. :-)
